The Kingston Academy is located in enviable premises in North Kingston, close to the River Thames and Richmond Park.
The school occupies a beautifully renovated historic school building, constructed around a central garden quadrangle, home to a large range of beautiful trees and plants. In addition, in September 2019 we took possession of our state-of-the-art new premises, a fantastic new building with a huge range of facilities including:
The story of the construction of our building
In Summer 2022, we opened our brand new library which students use independently and as part of English lessons. We have an ever-growing range of fiction and non-fiction books to support both reading for pleasure and purpose and it is a space that is loved by students and staff alike.
We also make use of the facilities within the local community including The Hawker Centre for PE. With Richmond Park and the River Thames on our doorstep, we are very fortunate to be able to venture out to these areas as part of our Outdoor Education curriculum.
Our Trust partners also provide us with access to facilities which further enrich our offer for students, for example the libraries of Kingston University and The Theatre at Kingston College.
