Your local authority will tell you which school is offering a place for your child on National Offer Day, Monday 3 March 2025.
If you wish to appeal against a decision not to offer your child a place at The Kingston Academy, you must lodge your appeal by Tuesday 22 April 2025 in accordance with the timetable for 2025 admissions appeals below.
Admissions appeals are made through Surrey Schools Appeals Service, the independent body which organises admissions appeals on behalf of The Kingston Academy. You should contact them by email: surrey.schoolappeals@surreycc.gov.uk. A link to the online appeal form will be sent to you by email, together with comprehensive guidance notes. If you require hard copies, these may be obtained on request from Surrey Schools Appeals Service. Completed hard copy appeal forms should be returned directly to the Appeals Service by post to:

NB: Appeals will not start being heard until after the closing date has passed.
Appeals lodged after this date will be heard within 40 school days of the appeal deadline or 30 school days of being lodged, whichever is the later date.

If you wish to submit further evidence which was not included with your initial appeal, you must make sure that it is received by Surrey Schools Appeals Service by this deadline. Any additional evidence or information received after this date might not be considered at the appeal hearing. The Appeal Panel would decide whether it should be considered taking into account its significance and the effect of a possible need to adjourn the hearing. |
Both students and their parents have a right to appeal a decision not to offer a place in the Sixth Form.
All Sixth form appeals are heard by an independent panel, organised on behalf of the Trust by Surrey Schools Appeals Service.
Appeal forms can be requested by email from the Sixth Form Office: sixthform@thekingstonacademy.org and must be submitted directly to Surrey Schools Appeals Service. Completed Appeals Forms must be received by no later than Monday 1 September 2025.
Note that in the case of appeals where students did not reach the specified entry requirements, the Appeal Panel will not make its own assessment of a student’s ability, but must decide whether the Trust’s decision that the student was not of the required standard was reasonable in light of the information available to it.
Appeals must be heard within 30 school days of confirmation of exam results.

Appeals resulting from in year admission applications will be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged. All appeals are heard by an independent admission appeal panel in accordance with the School Admission Appeal Code.
