In the second half of January, our GCSE and A Level artists have been lucky enough to take part in life drawing workshops. The workshops were run by an external agency who gave our Art cohort an exciting challenge. The improvement and skill shown by all was very impressive, and I hope the pupils were proud of the work they created. Life drawing uses skills which helps artists to learn to draw more accurately, practicing their observational abilities in order to create more skillful, proportionate drawings.
The talent of our pupils was obvious, with the instructor giving increasingly difficult challenges and poses to stretch what seemed to be a very naturally talented group. The pupils worked hard and showed great ability- as shown in these photos.
Well done to all pupils who have completed their Life Drawing workshops now- it has been a great challenge to learn to draw from observation which I hope will be beneficial to you in the future.
Thank you very much to FOTKA who kindly donated and allowed us to give the pupils this exciting opportunity. We are very grateful!
