Football Cup Finals

Recently TKA demonstrated our sporting prowess, participating in three football cup finals in six days.

Winners of the London Cup

The Y7 boys won London Cup Final against Central Foundation School in a dominating display on Tuesday. Player of the Match, Aveer, opened the scoring with a fine left-footed finish from the edge of the box. The start of the second half saw Mattia finish superbly from a pinpoint pass from Freddie. Captain fantastic Freddie secured the win with a fine finish from inside the area. A late consolation goal did not dampen spirits and a fantastic boys football trophy was secured for TKA. 

Runners up in Girls Football Surrey Cup & London Cup Finals

The U15 girls had their Surrey Cup Final against Surbiton High who have been crowned National champions for the past three seasons. The tough task on paper proved to be the case on the pitch as Surbiton ran away 6-1 winners. Lauren was our POTM and Joanna was our goal scorer.

The girls were back in Cup Final action on Thursday this time in the London Cup against Achland Burghley School. A bright start saw Charlotte put TKA 1-0 up with a fine run and finish. However, by half time the opposition had turned the scoreline around to lead 2-1. A regrouping and confident start led to Sophie levelling the game 2-2. Unfortunately, heartbreak was to occur as the opposition struck a winner late on.

Although the two cup finals did not go the way the girls wanted they should be very proud of finishing second overall in both Surrey and London.
