World Book Day & Author Visit

On Wednesday the 6th March, to celebrate World Book Day, our Year 7 pupils enjoyed a fabulous author visit from Maria Motunrayo Adebisi, author of ‘Koku Akanbi and the Heart of Midnight.’ We did a quiz to find out which character we were, had a sneak peek at the brilliant illustrations and learned all about the Orisa Gods and their magic.

‘This visit started with the author telling us about her childhood and it was interesting. She said she likes anime, she told us what her dreams were, and what her last name means in Nigerian. She showed us the amazing trailer of the book. She then read us the spectacular second chapter of her book. She also told us about all the unique tribes and their powers in the book.’  Mohammad
